15" K ZILDJIAN Constantinople Turkish 20s 30s Vtg Hi-Hats Cymbal Pair Zildjive

Description

A mixed pair of 15-inch hi-hat or hand crash cymbals from the 1920s-40s. This set consists of:
• Zildjian K Constantinople, 14 and 7/16″ diameter, 1284 grams. Has an enlarged center hole as pictured. No cracks.
• Zildjive(?) cymbal with an ersatz Zildjian stamp, probably from around the same era. This one is also hand hammered and looks similar to the K. 15″ diameter, 1222 grams. Center hole has an ancient riveted copper plate reinforcement, presumably a keyhole or crack repair. No cracks, beyond what might be under this repair plate.
These cymbals pair very nicely with each other as hi-hats. With the K on top they’re a bit drier and more focused, with the other they’re more washy, but either way there’s a nice smokey character and spread and they’d be at home in a lot of styles of music. Pretty classic 15-inch jazz hi-hat tone.
